ON-PAM Committee 2025 @YPAM

This committee, held at YPAM – Yokohama International Performing Arts Meeting, a platform where performing arts professionals from various places of the world exchange through performance and meeting programs, will welcome practitioners active in theatres, festivals, network organisations, etc. as guests, and will implement a programme to share ideas and thoughts on how to face the issues currently facing contemporary performing arts and what kind of future to envision.
We look forward to your participation.

The Next Producers Meeting is held primarily to develop networking and support environments for the next generation of performing arts producers and art managers. At the 2025 ON-PAM Committee @ YPAM, we will host a roundtable discussion featuring practitioners active in Japan and South Korea as speakers.

Rei Ohashi (Production Coordinator, Toyohashi Arts Theatre PLAT)

Rei Ohashi (b. 1993) is a production coordinator at Toyohashi Arts Theatre PLAT. She studied applied theatre and production planning. Her work includes performance production, education, and accessibility initiatives, such as stage sign language and inclusive audience support.

Yuya Kimura (Producer, ZAZI・ZOO / Space Curator)

Yuya Kimura (born 1999 in Kanagawa, Japan) is a producer, space curator, and writer. He co-directs the theatre collective ZAZI-ZOO and runs the process writing Kasetsusha. Based at The Cityi, a multi-purpose space in Yokohama’s Nakamura-cho, I working across theatre-making, space curation, and editing to design new forms of circulation between the city and performance.

Namhyun Kim (Independent Producer)

Namhyun Kim is a creative producer, dramaturg and researcher based in South Korea. Studied theater at Sungkyunkwan University and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in arts management at the K-ARTS. Strives to discover diverse voices both inside and outside the theater and create engaging spaces for collaboration. Focuses on imagining beyond the present, working alongside creators to brainstorm ideas and pursue sustainable connections. He aims to continue connecting diverse artists with various entities and spaces, and are currently exploring the relationship between the private and public sectors within the realm of independence. Since 2024, he has been continuing youth theater work with Creative Yunseul and documentary theater work with Creative Untoldpoem.

Mieko Ito (Producer / Board Member, ON-PAM)

Since 2013, she has worked in programming, production and public relations at several public halls and cultural venues, including the Mie Center for the Arts. There, she organised theatre productions, community dance projects, workshops, international ballet performances and concerts. In 2023, while employed at a public hall, she established ‘Te-Tetonico’, a workshop for musicians and actors based in the Tokai region. That same year, she also started “Oshaberi-kai for Regional Producers” (in cooperation with the Open Network for Performing Arts Management (ON-PAM)), a regular meeting to help performing arts managers working in local cities. Since2025, board member of ON-PAM.

Momo Sakamoto (Producer / Representative, HANCHU-YUEI LLC. / Board Member, ON-PAM)

Producer, Representative of HANCHU-YUEI LLC. She joined LOLO in 2009 and HANCHU-YUEI 2011, where she is in charge of theatre management and production. She is a board member of the Open Network for Performing Arts Management (ON-PAM). She is a board member of the Japan Performing Arts Solidarity Network(JPASN).

We invite guests from Asia engaged in performing arts producer networks to discuss systems that support flexible and diverse working practices and creative environments. Is it possible to create a network where each individual can bring their own small voices and thoughts?

Jin Yim (Creative Producer)

Jin Yim is an independent producer and programmer from South Korea. She has been producing, programming, and facilitating the performing arts festivals and arts in public spaces. She worked as an executive producer for the Street Arts Market in Seoul from 2016 to 2018. At the Performing Arts Market in Seoul (PAMS), she worked as a connector for industry development from 2020-22 and as a co-associate director in 2022. She is a founder of DARi, producers’ collective for producing and consulting.

Muhammad Abe (Independent Producer)

Muhammad Abe lives and works in Yogyakarta. He is completing postgraduate studies in Performing Arts Studies at the School of Postgraduate Studies, Gadjah Mada University (UGM). He is the Director of the Indonesia Dramatic Reading Festival, Vice Director of the Indonesian Performing Arts and Theatre Conference, co-founder of Gymnastik Emporium. He was the producer of the Asia Playwrights Meeting in Yogyakarta in 2019. Together with the Indonesian Performing Arts and Theatre Conference, he organized the Postdramatic Theatre Workshop in 2024. He was also a facilitator for the Indonesian producers’ workshop in 2023-2024 for the Yayasan Kelola program, and in 2025, working for aRRRah to organized a documentary theatre workshop by Hans-Werner Kroesinger and Regine Dura. Additionally, he is an independent producer for several Indonesian performing arts artists.

Tomoya Takeda (Representative Director, bench Co. / President, ON-PAM)

Born in Yokohama in 1983. Performing arts producer. Affiliated with the NPO Arts Network Japan from 2006 to 2014. Involved in the launch of the international performing arts festival “Festival/Tokyo” as a staff member of the secretariat from 2008, working as Production Director from 2011 to 2013. Joined the ROHM Theatre Kyoto Preparatory Office in winter 2014. Responsible for programming and planning at the theatre. From 2018 to 2020, worked freelance as a program and planning manager for ROHM Theatre Kyoto and as a curator for the “Saitama Triennale 2020.” He established Bench in 2021 and worked as its representative director. President of the Open Network for Performing Arts Managers (ON-PAM). Member of Ondo LLC, engaged in community and space development in Kawagoe City, Saitama Prefecture. Part-time lecturer in the Department of Theater and Dance, Faculty of Arts, Tamagawa University.

Mariko Onoe (Secretary General,ON-PAM)

Secretary General of Open Network for Performing Arts Management (ON-PAM). She worked at Japan Center, Pacific Basin Arts Communication (PARC) and the secretariat of TPAM as a program officer from 2006 to 2017. As a grantee of the program of overseas study for upcoming artists 2009 by Agency for Cultural Affairs in Japan, she did an internship in Edinburgh and London.
