The ON-PAM committee meeting scheduled for the summer of 2021 has been postponed due to the declaration of a state of emergency and other reasons. This time, in cooperation with YPAM (Yokohama Performing Arts Meeting in Yokohama), which will be held in December, we will hold a program of a symposium and roundtables, where we will discuss each theme with ON-PAM members and YPAM participants.

ON-PAM Symposium : Thinking from Asia –International exchange in the contemporary performing arts

ON-PAM has been providing the opportunities for international exchange of the contemporary performing arts managers, but the activities has been smaller because of the COVID-19. In this session, we invite Chiaki Soma who is the program director of Theater der Welt 2023 and Seong Hee Kim who has been introducing the Asian contemporary performing arts to the world, and wil discuss the needs of the international / interregional exchange and the view of those exchange in the contemporary performing arts scene based on their challenges.

In the field of performing arts, public theaters and halls around the country are collaborating with theater groups/companies and freelance producers on projects.

Round Table Next Producers Meeting in YPAM
As the environment surrounding the performing arts changes, the role of the arts manager also continues to transform. The “Next Producers Meeting” is an open forum for the next generation of arts managers to bring together their current situations and perspectives, and to explore new possibilities unconstrained by conventional ways of doing things. This meeting will feature a roundtable discussion on the theme of “Next Generation Networks” with speakers in their 20s.
